Auch die US-Site Gamespy hat eine Review veröffentlicht und mit 88% ebenfalls eine gute Wertung gegeben:

Wizardry 8 is an outstanding example of its genre. It has everything you could possibly ask for in a roleplaying game and then some. Despite that, the nature of this old school RPG is such that it will likely only appeal to a small niche of gamers, which is a real shame. This year, the roleplaying genre was slimmer than it has been in the previous couple of years, but even if it had been packed with titles, Wizardry 8 would still shine above most of them.

So langsam sollten sich die deutschen Publisher wirklich überlegen, ob ihnen da nicht eine Perle verloren gehen könnte!

Hi Frank!

Von "meinem" Softwarehändler habe ich erfahren,dass wohl Sir-Tech mit Ubisoft verhandelt,zwecks verlegen in Deutschland.Die Sinneswandlung kommt wohl von den extrem gut Verkaufszahlen in USA.Das hatte ich aber im Wizardry 8 - Forum schon zum besten gegeben.
